
GIANT SLALOM ALPINE TRIALS
The AMSI - Association of Italian Ski Instructors, in collaboration with the Italian Ski Schools registered with the AMSI and with the regularly
affiliated Regional and Provincial Associations, promotes the 34th GRAN PREMIO GIOVANISSIMI - GIANT SLALOM ALPINE TRIALS M. and F. of the Italian Ski
Schools for juveniles aged 8-9-10-11 years, born in the years 2000-2001-2002-2003.
WHO can take part
All children of any nationality can take part (males and females, valley and city dwellers) enrolled in the Italian Ski School, if they were born in the years 2
000-2001-2002-2003.
A male and a female category will be formed for each year.
The event will be held in three stages:
Stage 1: School, organised by the individual Ski Schools registered with the AMSI.
Stage 2: Association, promoted by the respective Regional Associations of the AMSI.
Stage 3: National Final, promoted by the AMSI (Association of Italian Ski Instructors) in the location where the Italian Championship for Ski Instructors is to be held.
STAGE 1: School
All interested Ski Schools must organise one or two competitions to qualify for the next stage. Pupils may also take part in both competitions.
Qualification of a student in one ranking excludes him or her from the other.
In the next Regional Association stage, the first 10 in each category and each qualifying round will be admitted.
Each School must undertake to have its students who have qualified for the Regional Association phase followed by one or more Instructors.
The School Directors must send three copies of the rankings with the addresses of the qualified athletes and the list of competitors enrolled in
the qualifying competitions within 5 days of holding the competitions to their own Regional Association.
STAGE 2: Association
This will be organised in a winter sports resort established by each Regional Association of the AMSI. Qualifying for the National Final in one of
these stages excludes the possibility of qualifying in others. The first qualification in chronological order will be considered valid.
The first 15 ranked in each category, male and female, will take part in the National Final stage. Each Association must undertake
to have its students who have qualified for the National Final followed by its own Instructors.
A ranking for the Schools will be drawn up according to the following criterion:
to the last ranked in each category 1 point;
to the second-last ranked 2 points;
to the third-last ranked 3 points;
and so on.
The scores of each participant will be added up and the highest result will give the ranking for the Schools. The Presidents of the Regional Associations must
send three copies of the list of enrolled participants and the rankings accompanied by the addresses of the qualified athletes to the AMSI.
STAGE 3: National Final
This will be promoted by the AMSI.
The winners of each category may use the title Campioni Italiani Giovanissimi (Young Italian Champions) of the Italian Ski School, for the category
to which they belong.
The first 15 in the ranking of each category (male and female) and of each year are automatically registered for the National Final.
If a competitor who qualified is absent, he or she may be replaced by the first of the non qualifiers.
If this athlete to is unable to take part, any substitution can by only be made with the exclusive authorisation of the competent peripheral Association.
An athlete who has not taken part in each of the previous stages can in no case participate in the final.
Courses
Male and female giant slalom from 20 (minimum) to 25 gates (maximum), for athletes born in the years 2002-2003 and from 25 to 30 gates for those
born in the years 2000-2001 on a slope that is not too steep, with a smooth and not excessively demanding course.
Registration
Registration for the race to stage school and for the stage of Association will be Euro 10.00 min./15, 00 max.
Registration is free of charge to the national final.
Dates held
Stage 2 - Association: February - March 2011.
Stage 3 - National Final: 25-26-27 March 2011 at Selva di Val Gardena (BZ).
The FISI technical regulations are applicable for all that is not contemplated in these regulations.

Schools for juveniles aged 9-10-11-12 years, born in the years 1999-2000-2001-2002.

Single National stage
This will be organised by an Italian Ski School.

Registrations are made directly by the Ski Schools at the head office of the National Final.
Courses
An easy course will be laid out with a length of 2 Km.
Registration
Registrations are free and must be sent to the head office of the School that is organising the National Final.
